Daphne & Jason wanted something fun and not the usual wedding fare. It was totally AWESOME. I know I say that a lot but superlatives aside this wedding really was in the realm of awesome. Clients like Daphne & Jason make the job of being a wedding photographer among the best of jobs in the world!
Most definitely the most interesting wedding of the year so far, completely out of the box! If you haven’t seen it already, take a peek at this already posted look at the making of Daphne and Jason’s pre-wedding film created by the fabulous Steve Zugelter at Studio Z. Steve’s film work is stunning! There’s a re-post below too of the “Making Of” from my blog a couple of weeks ago too. You sort of need to see the whole story.
Daphne and Jason and Steve and I and our crews of friends, family, and assistants put together the first ever (at least for me) pre-wedding film. Daphne and Jason told all of their friends and most of their family that they were having a destination wedding in Florida and a pre-wedding party here to celebrate before they got married. The party was at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza. I’ve always loved the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza! It was even better, stunning in fact, under the creative eye of event designer Joe Rigotti of Accent on Cincinnati. About an hour into the party Daphne changed into her wedding dress and Steve’s film started rolling on the big screen on stage. As the film came to and end with Daphne & Jason standing at a church alter the screen went up and they did the real deal right there and then. Their friends were very surprised!
Way FUN!! Let’s do it again!! Congrats Daphne & Jason!! You’re the BEST!
