Sweet wedding with Sara & Brent at the Indianapolis Westin Hotel.

I always enjoy weddings with an twist.  Sara & Brent had a jointly administered Jewish /Christian wedding. What a wonderful thing to see two religions come together to blend two lives, loves, and families.

In most traditional American weddings a bride will be escorted down the isle by her father only. For some reason this never makes sense to me so it was exciting to see Sara come down the isle with both of her parents. What a lovely tradition in Jewish weddings!

I love the chupah too! There’s something about it that helps to visually provide a focal point for the wedding not to mention it symbolizes that the couple are making a home together and that it will always be open to guests.

The breaking of the glass ceremony is fun at the end of the ceremony. Thank goodness it’s broken inside of a cloth bag usually making clean up so much easier and no one gets hit by flying glass.

The ketubah is usually so beautiful, especially for those of us who love typography. My favorite ones are the kind that all of the guests sign. Sara and Brent’s had the most beautiful colors!

Finally, I wish every wedding had the Hora!!! I want to do the Hora myself in fact! It looks like tons of fun and just a little scary to be hoisted up on chairs above a singing dancing crowd of all of your favorite people. I also love the circling, swirling guests dancing and laughing, holding hands and going in circles around the dance floor. (Somebody PLEASE invite me as a guest to a Jewish wedding!)

Congratulations Sara and Brent! Make sure and checkout their slideshow to see move details.

It’s often kind of a love fest thing that I have going with my clients. They love getting married and I love shooting their weddings! I especially love shooting their weddings when our personalities and interests are similar and compatible! That kind of thing was in double force at Brianna & Peter’s wedding at the beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio. What a great place for wedding photography. I could play for days there. I love my job as a wedding photographer for so many reasons-great clients, tasty wedding cake every weekend, beautiful dresses and shoes, fun parties (even if I’m working), and amazing architecture.

Cory at Fresh Flowers and Events-love the flower balls that were hanging everywhere!

Beautiful and delicious cake by Jan Kish at La Petite Fleur

Stunning makeup as usual by the talented Chenese Bean!

Carrie & Tim Get Married

Totally love Carrie & Tim! They were on the speed wedding planning schedule. When their top venue choice called and said they had a vacancy and did they want the date they said yes and planned the whole thing practically overnight. (Not really but so much faster than most couples do.)

What’s not to love about having your wedding at the Cincinnati Art Museum? It is one of the most visually lovely places in the Cincinnati area and the staff is top notch!

I’m still in awe at the beautiful job Goodwin Lighting and Kevin Ford at Ford-Ellington Floral & Event Design did for the reception.

The cake -yum- by Terry at the Metropolitan Club

Music by the Hawthorne String Quartet & Jeff at Party Pleasers-great party!!
