Ken & Pauline have a growing and very loving family. Fun stuff with a couple of grand kids in the mix now. I’ve watched their family grow and add five new members since they moved to Batesville more then ten years ago. I remember meeting them at the town Halloween parade.
Halloween here in Batesville is like something out of a movie. Just use your imagination and picture a small Midwestern town with piles of red and gold leaves at the edges of the streets in front of tidy houses with hundreds (no kidding) of children parading through town in their costumes with their parents in tow behind the high school marching band. (Checkout this video.) At the end of the parade everyone stops by and for a bag of goodies from the local American Legion Post and then off for a treat or two from a policeman sitting in a folding chair at the police station across from the fire department where the same thing is happening there. We meet in the intersection between the fire department and the police station. Very folksy.
Pauline & Ken are both two of the most patience people I’ve ever meet. Only patience people should apply for the job of parenthood. Way to go Ken and Pauline.

Carina is expecting her second child and she wanted to make sure she had a good record of what the “basketball” (her words) looked like before it was too late! Carina has a since of humor and I wanted to make sure we captured that along the way too.
Felix did his little boy thing with cars and sticks and pretty much non-stop running at the park. Soooo cute!
Make sure you check out the upcoming blog entry to see what the basketball looks like in person.

All baby. Carina called it the basketball.

Two weeks to go!!!
